Anonymous asked: i do volunteer work all the time, but i never get like a paper signed or anything? do we need to have a certain amount of hours by graduation? and on college resumes - do you need your volunteer work to be verified?
Depends on what you mean.. For college, you don’t need volunteer work to be verified.. Then again, I’m not applying for college quite yet so I’m unsure. Talk to your guidance counselor when you get a chance! He or she can definitely clear up the confusion! I know for clubs like Key Club you need your hours to be verified, but by a senior member who is present at the event! But that’s different! Good luck!
Anonymous asked: what site do you use for college counseling?
I go to an actual person who helps me out! I have an account with the College Board though for all my SAT stuff which is really useful, and collegeprowler.com is good if you want to compare schools and stuff!
Anonymous asked: Are you going to marisa d's party?? Idk if I should. I mean she's kinda boring and not that outgoing so idk if it will really be entertaining
I think that you should be grateful that you got an invitation and that you are privileged enough to have friends and be able to go out and party. Many kids don’t get that. Just because you think she’s “kinda boring” doesn’t mean her party will be! I’m going because I’m her friend and I want to celebrate her 16th birthday with her, and it’ll be fun to get out and be with everyone!
Anonymous asked: im worried about high school cuz i really wanna make these sports teams but i don't think i will be good enough. i can't return until right b4 tryouts. there are all these girls that are better than me and it bothers me how they always post pics on fb of them. ughh ik all the kids in my grade are messing with the high school people. but I'm not one of them. i just want someone to hear me out :(
It bothers you that they post pictures of themselves or them doing the sport? You really can’t stop either, it’s not your place. You’re just paranoid and you’re letting something that you can’t control get to you. When you can return to physical activity, really try and work on your skills. If the coach sees you’re committed, you’ll be fine. If you’ve been on the team and you’re passionate about it, I have a feeling that you’re pretty good and they’ll see that. Don’t push yourself too hard though because you don’t want to re-injure youself! I figure that you’re in middle school? Whether you’re one of them or not, if you’re associated with them, there’s a slight problem. We don’t put up with shit. Just lay low and stay out of drama and you’ll be fine! You’ve got some time!
Anonymous asked: samm, i need help. i've been out of my favorite sport for a year due to a reaaalllyyyy bad injury. i needed surgery, and spent my whole summer on a couch not being able to walk. i feel terrible about it all the time, seeing how far ahead of me everyone is getting. to make matters worse, my "friend" is telling everyone how fed up she is of me complaining. she told me everyone is saying that about me. i don't even complain thattt much but I'm receptive enough to realize that it was annoying cont.
I broke my foot and I was in a boot forever, like 14 weeks! I know how you feel! Thankfully, you’re getting healing which is good! It’s hard to see people improving and doing something you can’t do. You always want what you can’t have! And you’re ‘friend’ is not a true friend if she’s not sticking up for you and talking about you with the other people. Maybe you are complaining, but so what? You have every right to complain. You spent you summer on a couch! Next time she says something, call her out on talking about you and turn it back on her.
Anonymous asked: Who do you think are the 3 most popular male singers and the 3 most popular female singers among the students in our high school? Which male and which female one would you like to meet the most? Haha sorry its such a weird question to ask but its for a project. Thank you!
To be honest, I really couldn’t tell you. I think the Corcoran brothers are amazing and Sydne Marrero is so good too but I know them and it’s not like I’m starstruck over anybody in our school. I wouldn’t want to necessarily meet any of them! They’ve both performed in our pep rallies and stuff, and I would say they’re popular!
Anonymous asked: What is a good gpa for college? I have no particular school in mind but I don't want my gpa to be so bad that I wont get the school I want. Thanks(:
Depends what school you want. I would strive for at least a 4 if you want to start having more options!
Anonymous asked: hiiii! i'm in eighth grade and from randolphh and stuff and i was just wondering if like the sophmores and juniors become kinda friends with the freshman each year....?
Depends who the freshman is. If you have classes with sophomore and juniors and even seniors in this matter, and they realize you’re not like all the other freshmen, then yes, I can say that they do get along and become friendly. Do they become great friends? No, most likely not, but as long as you don’t try too hard you should be fine.
Anonymous asked: are you or your friends wearing your costumes tomorrow?
We didn’t wear them! Sorry I didn’t answer, I just got power!
Anonymous asked: a lot of this years freshman hate the eigth graders and im afraid to be ridiculled in hs next year when their sophmoress, what should we do? and is high school like people say it is??
A lot of the high school hates the eighth graders this year, not just the freshman. Just be smart, start acting your age, and stop trying to get involved with people older than you! If you stay out of the way, there won’t be a problem! And, what do you people say it’s like? It’s a lot more free and independent, and nobody’s holding your hand. You need to own up to your own shit, and know right from wrong!
